Kevin is not only professional and exceptionally knowledgeable, he is also an exceptional person. Not once, but twice, Kevin treated my husband’s injuries and helped my husband and I research for a review submission to WorkSafe BC when two separate claims were denied us. He invested his own time researching and then preparing a fully comprehensive medical opinion report in both cases. In both cases his medical opinion was the cornerstone of the review submissions we prepared. In both cases Worksafe’s original decision to deny our claim was overturned. Without Kevin’s dedication to us and his willingness to go the extra mile, we would not have succeeded. I have been here for a couple months now, and by far, this is the place to go for your recovery. First time I walked in, I was extremely shy and really scared of what could happen, being that I didn't have a lot of experience going to these places.. The team made sure I felt welcomed, there was no judgement, and everybody was a shoulder to lean on. These are the people that you want! Every detail is important to me, and this place checks all of those boxes. Kevin and Josephine are by far the nicest and attentive people I have met in this industry, they are actively trying to make my recovery easier and better. I have no complaints and I highly recommend Sunrise to anyone struggling in their recovery or need a simple rma.

I was referred to Kevin through a coworker a few years ago as I had been dealing with a shoulder injury for a couple of years because I was misdiagnosed from my doctor. I had to change positions in my sport as I couldn’t throw the ball like I used to. Kevin was very thorough when assessing me and diagnosed what the underlying issue was, he then used various techniques like shockwave, laser and IMS (to name a few) to treat my shoulder. Kevin had me back playing ball at my original position in a matter of months. I continue to see Kevin whenever an issue arises as I am quite active and like play a lot of sports, so I am very proactive with my body. He knows exactly how to treat me and has me feeling back up to par right away. I am very grateful that I was referred to Sunrise and continue to recommend them to others.. you are greeted with kindness from the moment you walk through the door.

I have been visiting Sunrise Physiotherapy and Massage on and off for a while now. The staff is friendly and Kevin is amazing! He takes the time to assess the trouble areas to best treat the pain or problems. My most recent visits was because I could not fully raise my arm straight up and it was painful to try.... like most people, I figured it would be fine after a couple of weeks of babying the shoulder... but it only got worst. Within a session, there was already such an improvement in motion! Not only do they heal the problem area, they taught me how to strengthen the area to help avoid future injuries. I would absolutely recommend Sunrise Physio! They truly care about the well being of their patients.

As always, Kevin is amazing since the first time I ever saw him for pinched nerves in my neck. Even my Son goes to him to be treated extensively for Toewalking when he needs it. However, the newest member of his team is kind of scary as she is very strict, relentless and makes you go beyond your ability to the point I've been calling her Meanie beanie Josephinie!!! LOL!!! All kidding aside, Josephine is an amazing girl. Very friendly and warm and she puts you at ease from the moment you meet her. I have been seeing Kevin for Intramuscular Stimulation since 2017. His level of care is fantastic. He has treated my neck, back and other ailments, and I always leave my appointments feeling great (albeit sore, since it is IMS). I have had IMS done by half a dozen other physiotherapists, and Kevin is by far the most thorough. His treatment suits my needs. He doesn’t spend half the appointment giving me stretches that I don’t want, or try to pass me off to a Kinesiologist like other clinics do. Above all, I find Kevin compassionate, caring, and very easy to talk to. He is just an all-around great guy, and the fact that he also provides excellent care is just a bonus. I am really looking forward to continuing to receive his care at his new clinic on Nanaimo in the new year.

Kevin is the best physiotherapist I have ever seen. I came to see him for hip pain and was treated with the latest equipment in the clinic. I love the laser therapy and the shockwave therapy which make me feel like a new person again. He is very patient, knowledgeable and caring. Kevin has been providing regular treatment for arthritis in my hip, and wrote a recommendation letter helpful for getting a scooter to help with my mobility. He is always upbeat and courteous, and the staff are friendly and professional. Appointments are on time and scheduling has been hassle-free. I had a very bad ankle injury 2 years ago and I couldn't walk for more than half an hour without being in pain. No one managed to help me with it as well as Kevin did! Thanks to him I'm now able to do what I love again: swim, bike, walk for hours and dance salsa all night! Thanks to his great professional skills, Kevin helped me identify the source of the problem and treated it durably. I've been dealing with chronic pain from tendonitis for the past 5 years it's affected my neck back and shoulder right down to my hand. I went to see Kevin based on the positive reviews and he doesn't disappoint. He is kind funny knowledgeable, you just want to give him a big hug. He's treated my pain with shockwave and IMS needling. Kevin is the best don't think twice. I almost hate giving him a good review because it will be so hard to get in to see him next time LOL. Thanks Kevin!

I have been working with Kevin, a recommendation from 2 neighbours, for about 9 months. I have a chronic injury and thanks to Kevin's kindness and interest as well his expertise it is healing. Kevin is open to working with you and will listen.He will work with other allied professionals. His reception staff are friendly and on top of things. I saw the team in this office deal with a belligerent and clearly mentally unwell person in the clinic with support and appropriate boundaries. I feel that we are really blessed to have such a supportive, affordable option, no bells and whistles but are personable and work with the patient.

I have been going to Sunrise Physiotherapy for a few years. Kevin, my physiotherapist, is an excellent clinician. His assessment of my neck and back pain was detailed and accurate. He is also very skillful in terms of equipment use and also muscle and bone manipulation. Kevin is very knowledgeable when questioned about the reason behind each treatment procedure and any post-op at home care. He always book plenty of time for each session so I never felt the work was rushed. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking a reliable and experienced physiotherapist.

I fell and got left ankle fracture. I would not walk properly after doctor removed my cast boot. Friend recommended me to see Kevin@Sunrise. He was so friendly and staff are also kind. Every time I had treatment with different machines and it was really very helpful for my pains and swollen. He got good experience and really care about patients. Victor is also a good therapist. He taught me how to do some exercises to balance my foot and make my foot stronger. They are great. I am gradually get my healthy foot back.

I know sunrise from they open at ehasting. When they opened in Victoria, I’m so happy, more close to my house. I ussual have treatment with Kevin. He follow up every single case on my every visit. He treat my case with alot treatment, use alot of machine to solve my case after massage my pain area. I have a numb n sore on my both hand till my chest. Beside give treatment, he built my believeness that It can be recovered. Every single visit, my pain always lessen alot. Also, other theraphysts are good too. I ever been treated by Maria. I was suffering from severe knee, groin and hip pain. I was unable to walk more than a few blocks without becoming so stiff and sore that I wasn’t able to walk anymore. Edward Wong was the first person that was able to identify the problem and treat my injury. He taught me to stretch properly and was able to pinpoint subtleties that have given me the ability to move without pain! Edward is knowledgeable, kind, and a genuine healer. Kevin is great. I came to see him after a fall I had scared me. For years, doctors had been telling me I fell because of MS but Kevin found other issues and I started wearing insoles and doing his recommended exercises plus seeing him once a week and I haven't had a fall or even a near fall in months. I was very disillusioned with physiotherapy. I had been going to a Downtown clinic that was clearly more interested in its trendy decor and yoga instructor on staff than in fixing the chronic pain in my back. In my 40 minutes sessions, the best my physiotherapist had to offer was putting me on a TENS machine and showing me exercises to do at home. I could have saved the $85 by using my Dr. Ho and YouTubing some exercise videos. I tried to rely on acupuncture and massage as an alternative, but it didn't make a dent in my pain which had escalated to "shooting knives" that would wake me up throughout the night gasping for breath. Out of desperation I googled physiotherapists near my house and discovered Kevin at Sunrise Hastings Physiotherapy. The clinic may not be as "pretty" as my previous one, but it is tricked out with all the latest physiotherapy tools of the trade. In my first visit Kevin put a good half-dozen tools/techniques to work on my back...at a cost of $55! I have been back to see Kevin a number of times over the past few weeks and can truthfully say that the difference in my back pain is night and day. I can sleep again at night and feel like I am returning to normal. He also adjusts his treatments to what I need "fixed" at the time. Today, in addition to working on my back, he treated my ankle which I badly twisted the night before. I cannot recommend Kevin highly enough!

I've been going to this clinic for many years and the quality and level of service, expertise and care from the staff has simply been terrific. Under new leadership from Kevin Chen, he has gone even further to show Sunrise's commitment to service and excellence, for example by improving the facility, offering more products and services, improving their methodologies, keeping rates affordable and competitive, and providing flexible hours. I know the staff are fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. They can get pretty busy with bookings due to popular and loyal demand, so it's best to book well in advance and stick with them for long term needs, whether you are young or old.

A 5 star experience! I have been seeing Kevin for about 5 months now for lower back pain as a result of a car accident.
